What is UX?

UX definition: UX stands for User Experience; it refers to how well a product, website, or application meets the needs of a user.

UX is typically referring to how easy or friendly or a product is to use. The better the UX, the better the perceived quality of a product.

UX is, by nature, unique to every industry and can vary dramatically; this means marketers and product teams need to have sufficient consumer knowledge in the creation process.

For example, Smartphones have different UX requirements for different generations:

  • Millennials may find high-quality cameras and storage make for the best user experience
  • Baby Boomers may find simple interfaces and long battery lives more important
