Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Engineering team at Loomly!

About the role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Loomly, you'll work on a variety of projects across the stack — planning, diagnosing, problem solving and building. You’ll ship features to tens of thousands of users and observe their direct impact on the business. You'll have significant influence on decisions we make as a team and ownership over integral projects from start to finish.
If you have an eye for detail, enjoy finding simple, maintainable solutions to complex problems, and like discussing the tradeoffs of various solutions, you'll fit right in!
What you'll work on
- Architect and build both frontend and backend features
- Refactor existing code for improved performance and design
- Write tests using RSpec
- Diagnose and fix bugs
- Plan and present ideas and solutions to problems
- Interact with customer success team around customer-related questions and issues
- Optimize SQL queries and database performance
Must-haves
- In-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails and best practices
- History of explicit, clear, and detailed written communication
- Ability to think carefully and weigh complex tradeoffs with an eye toward long-term product success
- Based in USA or Canada
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with React and Redux
- Experience working with Postgres and Redis
