Multi-image posts use different formats on different social networks. In Loomly's Post Builder, create the post, add media, then use Fine-Tune Content to apply the requirements for the social network you selected.
Facebook and Instagram use carousel formats differently. LinkedIn carousels use a PDF document rather than a collection of image attachments.
Facebook Carousels
A Facebook carousel contains photos. Use between 2 and 5 images. Each image has a Link URL and Link Title, and the Carousel Link is used in the final frame.
- Create a post and add 2-5 images.
- In Facebook Fine-Tune Content, select Carousel.
- Add a Carousel Link.
- Open media settings for each image and enter its Link URL and Link Title.
Facebook carousel posts support photos only. Check that the post has the required number of images and a valid Carousel Link before continuing.
Instagram Carousels
An Instagram carousel can contain a combination of up to 10 images and videos in one feed post.
- Create a post and add the media for the carousel.
- If you need more than one video, add each additional video in Instagram Fine-Tune Content.
- Change the media order in Instagram Fine-Tune Content when needed.
Review the media count and media types in the Instagram panel before choosing the next post action.
LinkedIn PDF Carousels
A LinkedIn carousel is a PDF post. The pages of the PDF form the carousel rather than individual image attachments.
- Create a post.
- Upload a PDF document, or add a PDF from the Library, Google Drive, or a URL.
- In Fine-Tune Content, preview the PDF.
- Open the document's media settings to add a document title if needed.
Review Each Format
Set up Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn independently in Fine-Tune Content. Their format rules and media limits differ, so a multi-image post is not one shared carousel format across all three networks.
