Loomly supports direct publishing for connected TikTok Personal and Business accounts. A qualifying post with one video can be automatically published. Posts that do not meet the requirements, including multiple-image posts, use manual publishing with reminders.
Connect a TikTok account
- Open Calendar Settings, then select Social Accounts.
- Select Connect for TikTok.
- Sign in to TikTok if needed, then authorize Loomly.
Each calendar supports one account per social media platform. To connect a second TikTok account, use a separate calendar. If you need to prepare the same post for more than one TikTok account, create a post that can be cloned to multiple calendars.
Schedule a TikTok video for automatic publishing
- Create a TikTok post in Post Builder.
- Upload one video.
- Optionally choose whether to disable comments, Duets, or Stitches.
- Schedule the post for direct publishing.
Choose a TikTok video cover
You can select a cover photo or thumbnail from the video in Generic Content or Fine-Tune Content. For TikTok, custom cover-image uploads are not supported. Instead, use the video timeline to choose a frame, then confirm that frame as the cover.
Check automatic-publishing eligibility
Automatic publishing requires a post with one video that meets all of the following conditions:
- Duration from 3 seconds to 5 minutes.
- Frame rate from 23 to 60 FPS.
- File size no larger than 1 GB.
- Minimum width and height of 360 pixels.
- A caption of up to 2,200 characters and 30 mentions.
If a post does not meet these requirements, Loomly selects Publish Manually and makes automatic publishing unavailable. The information icon explains why manual publishing is required.
For example, a single video that meets the requirements can be scheduled for automatic publishing. A multiple-image post must be published manually with a reminder, even when its images meet the supported media requirements.
Publish manually when required
Select Publish Manually for a post that does not qualify for automatic publishing or when you want to finish it in TikTok. At publishing time, Loomly sends a push-notification reminder to your phone. You can also choose email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams notifications.
- Tap the notification to open the post in Loomly.
- Select Publish to TikTok.
- Complete the post in the TikTok app. The media loads in TikTok and the post text is copied to your clipboard so you can paste it into the caption.
Manual publishing is also the option to use when you want to add TikTok-native elements at publishing time.
Use manual publishing for TikTok-only editing
Automatic publishing does not support overlay text, stickers, filters, or searching for and applying trending audio. Add those elements to the video before scheduling it for automatic publishing, or use manual publishing to add them in TikTok. Automatic publishing supports original audio only.
Supported TikTok media
- Images: multiple
.jpgor.pngfiles, up to 12 images, with a 10 MB size limit and an aspect ratio from 1:2.2 to 2.2:1. - Videos:
.mp4or.movfiles, up to 5 GB and 5 minutes.
The broader video limit does not make every video eligible for automatic publishing. Apply the single-video, duration, frame-rate, file-size, dimension, caption, and mention requirements above when choosing automatic publishing.
