Create a URL with UTM parameters in either the Generic Content panel or the Fine-Tune Content panel in Post Builder. The URL builder combines a website address with the UTM values you enter, then adds the completed URL to the copy in that panel.
Create a URL with UTM parameters
- In the panel where you want to add the link, select Create URL with UTM parameters.
- Enter a Website URL.
- Add a Campaign Source, Campaign Medium, Campaign Name, and Campaign Content as needed.
- Review URL Preview, then select Add URL to Copy.
Review the parameter values
Loomly builds the URL from the values entered in the form:
- Campaign Source becomes
utm_source. - Campaign Medium becomes
utm_medium. - Campaign Name becomes
utm_campaign. - Campaign Content becomes
utm_content.
A Website URL is needed for the builder to produce a preview. Add only the values you need: the builder includes a UTM parameter only when its field has a value. If none of the four UTM fields has a value, URL Preview shows the website URL without UTM parameters. Entered values are encoded as part of the generated URL.
Add the URL to your copy
When the preview looks right, select Add URL to Copy. Post Builder appends the generated URL to the copy in the Generic Content or Fine-Tune Content panel where you opened the builder. Review the copy in that panel after adding the URL.
