Use Post Sponsoring to configure a LinkedIn campaign for a post in Loomly. The Calendar must have permission to promote posts, and it must be connected to an active LinkedIn Ads account. You need at least Campaign Manager access to connect that account.

If you do not have an Ads account connected to the Calendar, set up the account in LinkedIn Campaign Manager before reconnecting LinkedIn and selecting the Ads account for the Calendar.

How to sponsor a LinkedIn post

  1. Create or edit a LinkedIn post in Loomly.
  2. Open Target Audience and Promote on LinkedIn, then choose Post Sponsoring. The tab appears only when the Calendar has permission to promote posts.
  3. Select Show Sponsoring Options.
  4. Set the lifetime budget, start time, end time, campaign objective, and audience. The end time must be at least 24 hours after the start time or post publish time.
  5. Add at least one audience location and a profile language. Review the validation messages if any required setting is missing.
  6. Review the spend confirmation, then schedule or publish the post.
  7. After publishing, review the campaign details and budget in LinkedIn Campaign Manager.

Set the campaign details

The sponsoring panel uses the connected Ads account for the budget currency and collects a lifetime budget, timing, campaign objective, and audience settings. For the audience, you can include or exclude people by location, company industry, job seniority, job function, and job title. You can also set a profile language for the included audience.

Choose an objective before proceeding. For example, the Website Visits objective requires a URL preview and a button type, and it cannot be used with a video attachment. Treat the options and validation messages as the source of truth for the post you are configuring.

Review eligibility and validation

Loomly validates the campaign settings before the post can be scheduled or published. It requires an objective, a lifetime budget, an included location, a profile language, and an end time. When an audience estimate is below 300, Loomly treats the audience as too small to launch a campaign.

Post eligibility also matters. The validator rejects a post with more than one attachment, and additional requirements can apply to a selected objective. Do not assume that every post, audience, budget, currency, or objective will be accepted.

Review the spend confirmation carefully. With Post Sponsoring enabled, publishing spends the configured amount from the connected LinkedIn Campaign Manager account. After publishing, verify the campaign details and budget there.
